Exciting opportunity for someone looking to get involved in the Scuba Diving industry in the Stoke On Trent area.
We have an apprenticeship place available for 1 or 2 people who would like to learn to Scuba Dive or to continue with their Scuba education if they are already a certified diver. No previous Scuba experience is required, all that we require is passion and enthusiasm for the underwater world.
In return for Scuba Diver training we are looking for someone to help with our busy confined pool sessions and to be instrumental in assisting at Open Water dive sites.
Duties and tasks will include:
Assisting with the loading/unloading of dive equipment
Assembly/disassembly of dive equipment
Adminstrative Paperwork
Surface assistance
Logistical support
In-water assistance
Dive site briefings
Dealing with customers
In exchange for this regular assistance we will provide full Scuba training with full dive equipment hire along with experience of working within the diving industry. Training materials & certification fees are excluded.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
Be enthusiastic
Customer focused
Willingness to learn, take direction and build experience in anticipating the needs of the the instructional team
Attention to detail
Good communication skills
No medical conditions that would prevent them from diving
This role would suit someone aged between 15-21 with a keen interest in Scuba Diving, potentially with the aim of working within the dive industry
Access to transport to get the the pool sessions and possibly open water required
The ultimate goal for the suitable candidate(s) would be to work their way up to PADI Divemaster level and become a PADI Professional.
